I’m gonna get whacked for this

Ethan 2 weeks ago16 views

But I think people way over exaggerate seasonal depression. I’ve lived in the north east my whole life and it gets very hot and sunny and then it gets very cold and dark. While I think definitely it can effect your happiness to go from being outside in the sun and such and now that’s less, the sun and outside still exist. You can go outside and be in the sun and enjoy nature while it’s cold it’s not a big deal. I just think it’s a bit dramatic when people act like they become suicidal because it’s January likes it’s not that bad

You can still go outside true but it’s just the fact that its really uncomfortable to be outside and it has to be some big event because you have to bundle up in 10 layers just to be semi-cozy. It’s discouraging. That being said not impossible and if you’re in a bad mental state you should totally take steps to get out regardless

Mochalatte see that’s kinda where you lose me again. Like 100% I understand everyone’s body is different but like growing up and living here the cold isn’t that bad. I think a lot of people over exaggerate how bad they feel in the cold it’s really not that big of a deal

everyone experiences it differently!! it’s the lack of vitamin d that affects people badly. vitamin d makes you happy as it’s a mood booster and you get vitamin d from the sun and in winter there isnt much sun. every human body works differently, so the levels of vitamin d vary per person.

Mel definitely I can agree with that part. But like if it’s that bad for you then take vitamin d supplements or something? I bring it up because I know someone who moved from New York to Arizona because he couldn’t take the “darkness” but I think it’s a stretch personally. I get depression and most mental health related things but this one for me just seems a bit outlandish
