1 FOR RACE
I wake up, grab my phone,
The first thing that I see:
A brand new race is starting,
And it’s calling out to me.
I tell myself, “Just one game,
Then I’ll go touch some grass.”
Six hours later, here I am,
Still racing for first place.
I race while I am eating,
I race while someone’s talking,
I have no clue what they said to me.
I’ve raced through every country,
I’ve traveled near and far,
At this point I’ve seen more airports
Than I’ve seen my own backyard.
“Come outside!” my friends all say.
“I can’t,” I must confess.
“There’s a Lifesavor opportunity
And I’m currently in distress.”
My sleep? It’s been eliminated.
My hobbies? Also gone.
My entire personality
Is “5 FOR RACE. C'MON.”
I don’t need food.
I don’t need rest.
I only need one thing:
THE RACE.
And when I finally finish
And swear, “That’s it! I’m through!”
A notification pops up:
“New race starting soon.”
