MacKenzie's Drag Race 2 Redemption 1 Results

Congrats to Herculena Jordan on winning Redemption 1! Herculena was someone who I thought would be a great fit for this type of season, and I'm glad I was right. On Season 3, you won the Talent Show premiere and then never landed in the bottom until Snatch Game, where a fan fav sent you packing. In this season, you won three challenges (Lipsync Smackdown, Snatch Game and Roast) but were also in the top 2 for the Makeover and Girl Group challenges. Your one time in the bottom three, you were not saved and had to lipsync for your life where you sent Holden Space Josh home. Overall you did very well and have the most impressive track record in the entire franchise! Although there is no Mx.Congeniality for returnee seasons, i'll just take a moment to say that this boot order and how things played out was NOT what I was expecting. I thought that Ashe Trey Jackie would make Final 4 pre-season, and as the season began I thought Jeannie Anna Bottle zeebem10 would also make Top 4 based on the first three rounds. Oh how I was wrong. FORMAT: Just so that people understand. For Redemption, the top 2 lipsync for the power to SAVE one of the bottom three. That leaves the other two to then lipsync for their life. Meaning we got 2 lipsyncs each standard episode. For the Lipsync Smackdown, those who won the first lipsync got HIGH. From those six, we'd have three move on and get TOP 3. From there we have 3-way lipsync to see who wins that episode. Thoughts About Each Contestant: 12th: Ashe Trey Jackie. I stated this previously, but you being first boot on Season 2 was a huge shock for me. Win-Safe-ELIM are you joking? So now I'm like "okay Ashe is making it deep, she's one of the few queens pre-season to even have a challenge win". Was I wrong again! Djenne Zeigh wins the episode, and has to choose between her only Season 2 sisters to save, to go up against Jeannie Anna Bottle who was becoming a powerhouse. Djenne unfortunately saved the wrong queen (Claire Voyant), and Ashe was sent home first. I'm having Ashe return in the future I don't care! I make the rules! 11th: Lou Snob goldelli. The first boot of Season 4. Your elim on your season was a shock as on Season 4 your track record was High-High-Elim. So I thought you'd get your redemption in this time around. You did for the first three weeks! Herculena saved her Season 4 sister Jeannie Anna Bottle, which left Lou Snob and Claire Voyant in the bottom two, where unfortunately you did not survive the lipsync. You were the only queen to have the same placement on this season. 11-11! Make a wish! 10th: Jeannie Anna Bottle zeebem10. You started off STRONG, which was immediately a redemption from your Season 3 track record of High-Safe-Safe-LSFYL-Low-Elim. Though you still lasted six episodes like Season 3, you improved a lot in that time, snatching the Team Infomercial challenge and winning two out of three lipsyncs in the Lipsync Smackdown. I think being apart of the one of many Season 3 queens, not many people would want to save you. 9th: Claire Voyant TommyXx. I did not see this coming. So your track record ended up being the exact same, except adding a couple safes in Redemption. I feel like all the Season 2 queens got unlucky, as both times you were in the bottom, it was against one of your Season 2 queens. Unfortunately, Djenne Zeigh sent you packing. 8th: vivalajacky Luke. As the only Mx.Congeniality coming into the season, I was hyped to see you back. Similar to Season 5, you came so close to getting a challenge win but didn't manage to get the win. Sadly, in the Girl Group challenge you were not saved and had to lipsync against Archer Back who sent you home. 7th: Laurie Thumpz ChloeKay. Laurie was a queen that never got a win on her original season but had a decent showing. Sadly, this season you were safe so much where you became stagnant. You did get saved by your Season 3 sister, The Woman, in the Girl Group challenge. But you became another casualty of Archer Back in the bottom two. 6th: Holden Space Josh. You were a bit of a mixed bag in Season 5, and in Redemption 1 you were that too, but more successfully. You won your premiere challenge and the Makeover challenge, along with being in the top for Snatch Game. You did have to lipsync for your life twice, once sending home Jeannie Anna Bottle who was a bit of a early season powerhouse, and then at final six against thee powerhouse Herculena. Had Djenne Zeigh saved you at Final 6, you could've potentially made it to the Final 4! 5th: Archer Back Lime. You've always been a supporter of this generation of MacKenzie's Drag Race and I've been very grateful for you. In Season 4, you never won a challenge before being sent home in the Team Choreo challenge, but here you had three arcs. The safe arc for the first four episodes, hiding in the shadows. Then your Top arc, where you were in the top for the Snatch Game, Acting and Makeover. You actually won the Acting challenge and beat Herculina for the win. Then your Bottom arc, where you landed in the bottom every week, lip-syncing three times for your life, and were sent home by Djenne Zeigh. Archer Back, you are one versatile queen! 3rd/4th: Djenne Zeigh RubyDoobyDooooo. By far your least performing queen and least memorable, I wasn't expecting Djenne Zeigh to make a deep run to be honest! But you definitely got your redemption. You won the Design and the Rusical challenges, actually the only queen to win every lipsync for the win and for your life all season long! You had a very interesting run and I'm proud of this new-age queen and what she was able to accomplish. 3rd/4th: Queen LaQueefa Aliyjen. Now, you JUST competed on Season 6, and those quick turnaround queens are very 50/50, but you really showed why you were the Queen of Redemption! You immediately made Top 2 in your Talent Show premiere, and being the only queen of Season 6, you weren't seen as a threat in comparison to the big Season 2 and 3 alliances on the cast, meaning you got saved in the Acting challenge, the one time you ever landed in the bottom. You finally got your first lipsync win in Episode 10, The Ball, where you beat The Woman to snatch your first ever challenge win. You definitely came out of this season with a positive look. Great job Queen LaQueefa! 2nd: The Woman TheWoman. THEE Woman of MacKenzie's Drag Race 2. You really did your big one this season, with two challenge wins and 5 times lipsyncing for the win overall. I think if the Roast challenge played out differently, you could've had the crown, but Herculena did save you in the one time you landed in the bottom, but her track record in Final 2 was just a little bit stronger.
