Why are all the houseguests so nasty about Taylor?

I really don't get the hate, sure she can be a little bit abrasive and come off that way but I feel me and her are very similiar. She seems like a very real girl and I feel a lot of people can't handle people who don't put on a facade. I can't help but feel there's darker motives behind a lot of the comments. When I feel Haley hasn't been given the same treatment and came off even worse.
