The central altar began to collapse as the arena destroyed every remaining region. Brat was wounded from his battle against SpaceLab, while Zee carried the souls of several participants. The necromancer possessed greater raw power, while the knight still had his military experience, his spear, and his spiritual pegasus. Zee began the confrontation by summoning every undead servant she could still control. Brat charged forward on his mount, destroying the first spirits with his spear. Lightning crossed the sky, cursed snakes emerged from the ground, and astral illusions distorted the altar. The pegasus was struck by an electrical blast and disappeared. Brat fell among the undead, but used his armor to endure the attacks and continued moving forward. Every destroyed spirit returned to Zee, causing her aura to become increasingly unstable. The necromancer attempted to tear Brat’s soul directly from his body, but encountered a resistance unlike anything she had faced before. The spiritual bond between the knight and his pegasus divided his essence between two points. Zee could reach Brat, but she could not consume his soul completely while the creature remained connected to him. Realizing this, Zee concentrated all her stolen power into a single attack meant to permanently destroy the pegasus. The creature reappeared in front of Brat and received the impact. Its spiritual form began to disintegrate, but the explosion also destroyed nearly all the undead servants protecting Zee. Brat used the final seconds of the pegasus’s existence to perform one last charge. Zee launched lightning, cursed threads, and fragments of souls against him. The knight’s armor shattered, and his spear nearly slipped from his hands, but he continued moving forward. At the exact moment the pegasus disappeared, Brat leapt from its back and broke through the necromantic barrier. Zee attempted to consume his soul before he could reach her, but she had been weakened by the destruction of her servants. Brat’s spear struck the spiritual core where the stolen souls were concentrated. Every soul was released at once. The accumulated energy abandoned Zee’s body, leaving her unable to sustain her necromancy. Brat recovered his spear and ended the confrontation before she could gather the spirits again. Zee was killed by Brat. Brat remained alone upon the ruined altar. His pegasus had disappeared, his armor had been destroyed, and nearly every other angel had died. Even so, his discipline, resistance, and experience allowed him to survive against the participant who had accumulated the greatest amount of power throughout the battle.
