Honestly, I think there's a huge difference between certain Reality Personalities - It's sad that the latter has ruined authentic Reality TV due to it.

I really miss the era of Big Brother/Survivor when reality TV felt more raw, unpredictable, and genuinely real. The show wasn’t afraid to cast big and different personalities from all walks of life — people who could be hilarious, chaotic, entertaining, or even deeply controversial. Someone like Courtney Yates showed how a strong personality could bring raw humour and authentic personality to the game, while people like Aaryn Gries represented the darker side of reality TV, where viewers were forced to confront genuinely disgusting language - including racist and offensive comments which probably changed the format of the show because of the way she behaved. Whether people loved or hated certain houseguests, they created conversations and memorable moments which kept everyone engaged, It feels that modern Big Brother is more catered to the casuals rather than the superfans. Modern reality TV often feels much more fake and controlled what the contestants can say / do , and I miss when Reality TV - felt like anything could happen and felt truly unpredictable at times. It feels to me now that they cast a lot of people in the same archetype which I really don't love about modern casting for Reality TV. tldr: personal thoughts about the current state of reality tv, how it's changed over the years and how I think It's changed for the worse in modern times.
