but if you won’t date someone for the sole purpose of them being bi, ur homophobic. No deflecting, no “preferences” you are homophobic. This doesn’t mean that only dating straight people is wrong but if you find someone attractive and start talking to them and the minute they say they are bi its a “turn off”.. you need some self reflection.

I've been seeing this discourse as well and there really is zero justification for it other than homophobia. If you can't be with someone who you are attracted to, and who is attracted to you, solely because they find other genders attractive and/or have had sexual relationships with other genders...you're homophobic. There really is no reasoning other than internalized biases to not want to date them because of that.
As a #BIcon myself, I've experienced this and it's not fun. HOWEVER, I've had to check a few of my friends and folks around me who think this way more than I've experienced it in my own dating history. Kinda insane how much I've educated people around me on this, yet none of them have offered me a valid reason on why they feel that way....
I think that’s hot af bi people are often such chameleons. My sister is that way. She can just get along with anyone and relates to both the masculine and the feminine in some capacity. Me as a gay man I feel like I only relate to the feminine 😭and I do feel like that’s the norm for gays, some masc exceptions of course!
Mochalatte also bi guys usually appreciate my femininity sooo much more than a gay guy in a romantic sense. They love the fluidity :p
Mochalatte yess! And i do understand people wanting to date either more masculine or more feminine, but i feel like that has nothing to do with sexual preference either. Like a straight woman could lean more masculine or a straight man feminine. I feel like a lot of straight people view bi men specifically as more feminine and it’s funny bc most gay men view them as the opposite
Fiji and also considering so many women have crushes on gay men you’d just expect them to be jumping at it 😂like he’s got more gay in him than a straight guy!!
or tremendously insecure!!! the amount of people who won't date a bi person because "it doubles the amount of people i'm competing with" like plzzz
i would date u my pretty princess
brookie mwah
wouldn't that be bi-phobic
BUnderscore yes, biphobia is a sub-category of homophobia. If you think that it’s a turn off of someone being bi its because they have been with men. And if you think that is “disgusting” or a “deal breaker” that is rooted in homophobia
