on tengaged
i was an otherworldly level of desperate to be accepted by the "cool" users and it fucking *KILLED* me to see people talking about calls and chats etc on the blog page. so i get it. i feel on Kovaze i have found my people and i am probably guilty of posting at times about my people (especially dumb Context posts) and i feel these are valid feelings from everyone. clique-y culture in a community like this can make things pretty hurtful at times unless you are like *THE* person.

I mean yeah people are always gonna have their cliques, but i think thats different than going out of your way to like make others feel like they have no one. I was that person on tengaged tht had no like big friend groups we all start out there.
you’re so smart cassie. lovely to read this (not ironic)
I’m not saying that this is ridiculous but I do think that the average age range on tengaged was a lot lower than the age range on Kovaze. so I think this desperation to include everyone is now adult friendship issues and not this idea everyone needs to be inclusionary for the sake of it
DK thats very fair. tengaged it was kinda sometimes the adults curbstomping the kids
Oh I relate to this so hard , I feel it here sometimes too, I kinda just feel like im outside of all the groups , like im friendly with them but im not in any inner circles you know ?
So my take is its a small niche online community feature. It's largely people from highschool that didn't have a lot of friends irl who got online and realized they could be cool behind the guise of a tengaged or kovaze avatar, and became the mean girls that they grew up 'hating' or whatever. It happens on neopets too. It happens in any online niche community lmao.
