Marvel Rivals Grandmaster: How Did AngieKStan Do It?

After a very long periodically time, I have finally reached Grandmaster rank in Marvel Rivals. As some may know, my username comes from this game. It released around the time Angie had her "high body count hair" moment so I named myself that and it stuck. Back in the early seasons, I played a lot of ranked as an Invisible Woman and Mantis Strategist one trick. During this time, I could only get up to Diamond and as more and more characters released it was becoming harder for my healing sisters to win games. I retired from ranked for my own sanity. I was tired of getting attacked by men I'm classier than. Instead I took to quick play because I couldn't live without my cocomelon Marvel poopoo game. In this time, I learned some new characters, mainly tanks. With the release of the latest season, the game actually felt... fun again? I decided to give ranked a try once more and I was able to reach my goal rank of Grandmaster 3. I did this mainly solo queueing but had help from Buffy & PosterBoy in some games. Here are the heroes I used along the way. Mantis: My very first main when this game released was Mantis. She's in my opinion the perfect character. Extremely easy for newcomers to learn as her heals and buffs require no aim. However, being able to aim her primary fire projectile and stun is essential to having success with her. Mantis received the greatest buff of all characters this season as she now does AOE heals making it much easier to keep the entire team alive while keeping focus on landing headshots on the enemy team. I played [REDACTED] number of games with her and ended with a 62% win percentage and 12 MVPs along the way. Stay away goofy. Invisible Woman: This used to be the hero I played the most, but she's is not as great as she used to be. Her cooldowns have become much longer, and I find her new team up abilities to be a bit disappointing. I still used her in some games as not every team wants a Mantis. I don't have my stats on her but just know I lost more than I won. Reviews from teammates: "Sue why did you waste ult" "Heal switch" Personal Highlight: having a 60k healing game, super comics accurate Magneto: This shocked me as I've never really played with him that often, but his new abilities bring in a lot of damage which make him feel a lot more fun the play as. I was able to get two MVPs as him, shocking myself and my bitter team. They couldn't handle my mag honey. I suck at hitting his ult but who cares I'll still hold this point. Reviews from teammates: "Can I get on Mag" Emma Frost: The tank I played as most. I'm like... not good with her but it's emma so if I lose I'm def going to blame heals. I'm capable of handling business but if there's a magik on the enemy team we may as well surrender because this is not going to work. Reviews from teammates: "Nice ult" "Horrible Emma" Adam Warlock: Was only able to play one game as him, but won that game duh. The annoying comp players never want to try out fun team comps and its always the same teams rinse and repeat. Wish I'd get a chance to play as him more. Reviews from teammates: "Can we get a luna?"
