I still worry for new users

Evan 12 hours ago142 views

not being able to learn comps easily. Some comps can be picked up fairly easily like match 3/water tank but others like holey will have users on their 25th game and still struggling to finish one board because they only get to play 1 or 2 comps per game. What if a comp practice room was added as part of the Activate perks? How many times you can practice a comp could be directly tied to your grade in that specific challenge F = unlimited practice D = 20x per day C = 10x per day B = 5x per day A = 3x per day S = 1x per day I'm sure it would get more people to purchase stuff to get activate more regularly and would give struggling users a path to get better without it being abused by gamebots to learn how to get 300 in burgers

Really like this idea or something similar! I love the minigames on the site as a new player, and I think I popped off, only for me to get last place in like every game.

feel free not to play arena to help them have a better shot at making it far!

It always comes down to the fact that not having practice links results in games filling more because people join games to get their practice, which is how every game in the world works. You practice by playing. Do I think there should be a way for new users to practice without getting stomped by gamebots? Yes 100%, which is the direction we're heading in (Power House for example, will only have comps for veto, and will be limited to Blitz comps). I also like the idea of players being able to play comps after they've been eliminated. Trust me, I'm aware that people would pay a lot of money for practice links but I would never want to release a feature that's unhealthy for the site for the sake of profits.

Sin yeah I agree if anything were to be done, it would need to be limited to avoid people abandoning joining games. Even if it was just 5x a day on comps that people are D/F at, I just think it would really go a long way and would eventually get more people into fast games because they aren’t always the first ones out

Sin I do really like the idea of being able to play comps after you've been eliminated!

Sin if I only have say 1-2 hours max to dedicate to a site to play, and on average o get to play 2-3 games in that time and get let’s say 7th place, I’ve played maybe 8 competitions. There’s no way I can get better like that. Not having a way to get better at mini games actually turns people away from joining games because what’s the incentive to do so if you’re going to get 7th or 8th every time or you’re going to drag a partner down in race? I feel very strongly about giving users an opportunity to practice. I’ve even suggested allowing evicted players a chance to continue to play the competitions for practice after evicted instead of having a separate practice space. As someone who is mid at comps already, but could be much better giving the chance to practice, I think that I’m speaking for a decent majority of users here. (Not to mention some of the mini games are just fun to do 😊).

Sin or even just after you’re eliminated you get to choose one comp to practice, out of any of your choice. That way it doesn’t prevent future games from filling because everyone sticks around to play the rest of the comps

as a new user who has struggled MIGHTLY with holey especially, i love the idea of being able to practice outside of games. more so for when i join things like Race and Outcasted where you have OTHER people who are relying on you for points, i feel awful when i don't "pull my weight"

i do not agree at all. Maybe when we have 300+ daily players, but anything keeping players out of games is not good for us. Let them join arena and practice! but i will plus for my friend lol

Evan12 hours ago

Rain I also agree with Britt's idea to let users play comps in arena for practice after they're eliminated. It SEEMS like joining games over and over would result in practice but with the way it is now, it's really not since you could play 10 games and still not see a comp you want to get better at if you're constantly getting 10th

Evan ok i agree with Britt's idea!! and do think the non-rotating comps was good for this as well

In need those memory practice

Good idea! Maybe have arenas where people who aren’t comp beasts playing together. Almost like how hysteria has ELO

Evan12 hours ago

Felicity I do think that both people hated on ELO too much AND it should not have been applied to hysteria. It could've showed more promise with race/arena but with how slow games seem to fill, needing 22 people in arena or 40 in a race just seems like it could do more harm than good
