Only twelve participants remained. The arena compressed again, pushing the forest created by Kimmie, the broken crystals of ricardogv, and the ruins of SurferSorbet’s fortress toward a central region. A false night covered everything. The darkness favored Seong. Kimmie entered the forest using her camouflage. Her plan was to remain completely hidden until she could bring several trees down upon the demon. She carefully moved between the roots without making a sound. Seong stood in the center of the forest holding his infernal chalice. His power of vision did not depend entirely on his eyes. He could sense the movement of energy, the changing position of roots, and the presence of living beings within his range. He felt Kimmie before he saw her. Seong multiplied himself throughout the forest. Dozens of identical childlike demons appeared between the trees, each surrounded by bands covered in eyes. Kimmie dropped several trees onto the copies. The trunks destroyed multiple illusions, but each attack revealed more information about her position. Seong sent the bands through the branches. Kimmie created new trees to block them and used her axe to cut the ones that reached her. For a moment, she escaped. Seong then used the energy of the night to hide his real body among the copies. Kimmie made a tree grow directly between them, breaking several bands and forcing Seong to retreat. However, he had already seen enough. The remaining bands emerged from the shadows and wrapped around Kimmie’s arms, legs, and torso. She tried to raise her axe, but the weapon was pulled away. The bands began draining her life energy. Kimmie created roots around Seong’s feet and almost reached the chalice, but the demon multiplied again and moved beyond her reach. Her nature energy entered the infernal chalice. When Kimmie fell, Seong gained access to a fragment of her power. Elsewhere, Thiii encountered Lexus. The demon immediately began playing her cursed guitar. The sound altered Lexus’s perception and made the angelic arms surrounding him appear hostile. One of the rapiers nearly struck Lexus before he regained control. He cut his own leg with the edge of his weapon. The pain temporarily interrupted the trance. Lexus ordered both angelic arms to attack the guitar while he moved behind a broken wall to reduce the strength of the sound. Thiii used all four arms to increase the speed of the music. The structure around them began to vibrate. One angelic arm attacked from above while the other approached from behind. Thiii redirected the sound and pushed the first one away, but the second rapier cut through the guitar strings. The cursed instrument released a violent and uncontrolled wave of sound. The energy struck Thiii directly. Before she could repair the rhythm or recover from the feedback, Lexus sent the first arm forward again. The rapier pierced through her remaining defense and ended the battle. Bubba, still severely wounded from his fight with SurferSorbet, crossed the remains of the fortress searching for the other angels. Akaliuchis found him first. The soul reaper moved quickly between the broken pillars, avoiding the first swings of Bubba’s hammer. The paladin struck the ground and created shockwaves, trying to prevent her from reaching him. Akaliuchis allowed small amounts of sacred energy to touch her. Each time Bubba healed one of his wounds, part of the released life force became available for her to consume. Bubba understood what she was doing and stopped healing. Instead, he attacked with everything he had left. The hammer struck akaliuchis and broke part of her protection. Blood spread across the battlefield. The soul reaper consumed it and became stronger. She rushed forward before Bubba could swing again. The paladin attempted to block, but the accumulated damage from SurferSorbet had weakened his arms. Akaliuchis reached his body and drained the remaining energy from him. Bubba fell, but his final hammer strike left the demon with serious injuries. Brat had watched the entire fight from among the corpses surrounding the fortress. The moment Bubba died, she attacked. Akaliuchis attempted to consume Brat’s blood, but the necromancer’s body had already been altered by the deaths she had absorbed. There was little normal life remaining inside her. Brat raised the corpses scattered across the battlefield. The undead grabbed akaliuchis from behind while the soul reaper cut through them with her weapon. Every destroyed corpse gave Brat more death to consume. Akaliuchis moved faster and reached the necromancer several times, but Brat used the bodies as shields. The two demons fought over the energy left by Bubba. Akaliuchis had superior speed, but Brat controlled the entire battlefield. Several corpses held the soul reaper in place for a few seconds. That was enough. Brat drove her sword through akaliuchis’s defense and absorbed the energy she had gathered. Part of Bubba’s sacred strength and healing power now belonged to the necromancer. Eliminations of the fourth day: Kimmie, eliminated by Seong. Thiii, eliminated by Lexus. Bubba, eliminated by akaliuchis. akaliuchis, eliminated by Brat.
