Seongs Epic Battle S2 - Day 2

The second day began under a gray sky, with the arena pulling the remaining fighters toward the dead forest. The trees were tall, black, and hollow, and their branches twisted like claws over the battlefield. The heroes moved together, but the loss of safety was beginning to show. SurferSorbet was still wounded, and Sprite stayed closer to him than before. Kimmie and Woofums continued to guard the group, while Basil and Melanie prepared the forest itself as a trap. The villains moved with less unity. Gabs wanted a direct fight and had no interest in waiting. Brat preferred silence, stalking from the trees and ruins. Nettles stayed far from the others, painting small ink creatures to spy for him. akaliuchis followed the trail of death from the previous day, gathering energy from the fallen. Bubba, wounded but alive, tried to disappear before anyone could punish her betrayal. Gabs became the first major threat of the day. She charged through the forest with her giant club, breaking trees and smashing through magical shields as if they were thin glass. Her resistance made her difficult to stop, and for a moment even Kimmie’s wind could only slow her down. Basil and Melanie worked together to trap her. Melanie froze the ground beneath Gabs’ feet, locking her heavy body in place, while Basil filled the ice with poisonous roots and thorned flowers. Gabs broke through the first layer with brute strength, but every movement drove the thorns deeper. The poison finally reached her heart, and the giant knight collapsed among the frozen vines. Night came quickly, and with it SurferSorbet became more dangerous. His connection with the birds sharpened in the dark, and his corvo guided him through the trees. He tried to turn the night into an advantage for the heroes, scouting ahead and warning them about movement in the forest. But Brat had been waiting for that exact moment. The yokai mage moved without sound, using the darkness as cover. SurferSorbet’s corvo sensed him, but the warning came too late. Brat struck from above with mana claws, forcing SurferSorbet into close combat. The young thief fought bravely, but Brat attacked from every angle, using his four orbs to surround him. A final strike from behind ended SurferSorbet’s fight beneath the black branches. Bubba spent the night trying to escape the center of the arena. She had supplies, bombs, and enough cunning to survive longer, but she was injured and alone. akaliuchis found her near a dry riverbed, where the soil was soft and full of buried bones. Bubba tried to bargain with another villain, but akaliuchis had no interest in partnership. Dead hands rose from the ground and pinned Bubba in place before she could reach her bombs. akaliuchis drained her life force slowly, using Bubba’s fear and pain to strengthen herself. By the end of the second day, the heroes had lost one of their youngest allies. The villains had lost two more bodies, but akaliuchis was beginning to turn every death into a weapon.
