Forgotten Reality Shows Rankings: Part 1
Okay, so I've been wanting to make a list like this for awhile. I had to get through the most popular competition shows first. I remember watching these shows growing up and nobody remembers some of them for one reason or another. I did some research as well to figure out why the shows ended as well. Okay, enjoy everyone!
14. I Love Money(4 seasons; Aired between 2008-2010): Now this theoretically should be way higher. As you can see here, I have listed that this show has 4 seasons. You may wonder how since you can only watch 3 of them. Well buckle up folks. Season 3 did happen, they filmed it and one of the trash tv stars did win. This winner's name is Ryan Jenkins. He was on the show Megan Wants a Millionaire. A few weeks after season 3 ended, he killed and dismembered his girlfriend Jasmine Fiore and then killed himself. So, yeah. Can't have this show ranked any higher because of all that.
13. Kid Nation(1 season; Aired in 2007): This was a fun show to watch, but man did they skirt around child labor laws so much. The kids filmed for 14 hours a day for a 40 day long season. They had to cook all their own meals and clean all their clothes and dishes by themselves as well. They only had one outhouse for all of them. The first time they could shower was after the firsg showdown. Kids accidentally drank bleach because of mislabeled bottles. The show also purposely made a little girl a villain through scripted lines which affected her in life afterwards.
12. 13 Fear is Real(1 season; Aired in 2009): I think I was the only one who watched this show haha. It was a horror themed reality show where one or two people were the killers and would send people into the elimination rounds that were based on that person's worst fear. The acting was horrible, but the challenges were insane looking back on. It had an among us feel to it as well where the contestants could accuse someone of being the killer. If they got it right the killer was eliminated, if they were wrong they were sent straight to the elimination round.
11. Ghost Hunters Academy(2 seasons; Aired between 2009-2010): This is a very niche show because if you weren't watching ghost hunters, you did not watch or care about this show. Basically it was amateur ghost hunters traveling to very haunted locations. They had to set up the equipment to TAPS specifications. They then had to use the equipment right and ghost hunt. After the investigation they all had to watch the hours of video and listen to the hours of audio to see if they could catch evidence of ghosts. The two members of TAPS would then review how they did and if they messed up enough, were eliminated. The winner got a job being an investigator for the Ghost Hunters team.
10. Dog Eat Dog(2 seasons; Aired between 2002-2003): This is more akin to Fear Factor. 6 people compete in a series of mental or physical competitions. The 6 people are told what the competition is and then vote one of the people to do that challenge. If the person fails they are eliminated, if they win then are able to eliminate one of the people who voted for them. The last one standing then had to beat the eliminated five in a trivia competition. If they won, they got $25,000, but if they lost the other five win $5,000. There was some batshit competitions that would never be allowed today.
