The Amazing Race Rankings: Part 1

Wow, it seems we are onto a new Reality Show rankings already. This was by far the hardest list I've ever done. I had to take into account more than just gameplay, twists, and the cast. This show has the unique appeal of traveling to new and fun locations almost every episode. The destinations play a very important role in how a season is perceived. Alright, let's get this started. 38. Season 33: This was a rough season. Mainly because Covid hit while they were filming. The show shut down for a year and a half. Instead of just starting over with a new cast, they brought back all, but 4 teams who couldn't do the show anymore. They even brought back 2 eliminated teams and it just was bad. 37. Season 38: This might be highly controversial, but I think this season is trash. The concept was fun, but I really didn't need to see Big Brother players from the last 3 years of the show as the main cast. Bring back icons from the past and give us that great drama again. It just wasn't for me and the high racism that was shown to cast members from the countries they visited was a massive turning off for me. 36. Season 34: If you can't tell already, I'm not a fan of most of the new seasons. This season is hampered by the twist. I hate the scramble with every fiber of my being. It's not what TAR was built on and they changed it because of Covid. No show was hurt worse than TAR from Covid. They had to change the entire format of the show to be withing the guidelines. 35. Season 35: This one was done on purpose lol. I'm sorry if you like the new seasons, this is going to be a bad list for you. This one had decent characters, but the show has taken all the drama out by assigning them commercials flights. They tried to bring drama back with the u-turn vote, but that is so stupid too. 34. Season 36: This season actually made me rage quit. Screw the fact they stayed in one part of the world the whole time, screw the crappy cast. Angie and Danny were so utterly screwed this season it's insane. To get eliminated because your camera crew took the wrong turn and you had to wait for them to catch up to you before continuing on is the biggest scam in TAR history. Danny had an amazing strategy by having his clearly older and less athletic mom do all of her road blocks early. Danny was insanely smart and if not for this sham, he had the winning strategy. Just complete BS from production here. 33. Season 37: They tried with this season at least. The fact that every episode had a twist was unique, but I felt it was way overdone here. Instead of just bringing back the fan favorites only, they had to include the shit twists too. It really soured on me how they continue to try and reinvent the wheel when they have the winning formula sitting right there. 32. Season 32: The season where the five person alliance dominated and they all sucked. The mine five alliance is one of the worst I've ever seen. The alliance is boring as hell and not interesting. They actively ruined what could have been a decent season. 31. Season 30: Fuck Cody and Jessika and their homophobic and transphobic views. These two are actual horrible people and the fact I had to watch them win was insufferable. Also the head to head twist sucked.
