The huge metal door opens loudly. Marquis: What the fuck- Joji enters the Underground Tunnel through the metal door. Marquis: Holy fuck, don't do that! Joji: Me?! You're the one standing in the middle of the tunnel looking creepy. Marquis: This entire place is creepy. Joji glances at the bloodstained metal door. Joji: Yeah... fair point. For a moment, neither of them says anything. Joji: So... how many pages? Marquis: Nine. Joji: Same. Marquis sighs. Marquis: We are so close, and somehow that makes me even more nervous. Joji: If I get to ten pages, I'm not stopping for anything. Marquis: Same. No heroics. No detours. Straight to the exit. Joji nods. Joji: Deal. Marquis: Good. Now let's get out of this tunnel before something decides to bash our heads against that door. Suddenly she hears static inside her head. Mochalatte: This can't be good.. 📍 Location: Burnt Campsite 👥 Players present: Mochalatte ➡️ Move to - Abandoned parking lot - Split Trail - Stone Ruins 🔍 Search - Inside the ashes of the campfire - Inside green burnt tent - Inside yellow burnt tent - Inside purple burnt tent - Inside half-melted cooler - Under charred log bench 🫥 Hide __________________________________________ Containment stands frozen in the Static Field, staring at Yan's severed head lying at his feet. The transmission towers crackle overhead as static races through the endless web of power lines. Containment tightens his grip on his Pages and starts running toward the Exit Gate. The static in his head gets louder. The air around him distorts. Every few seconds he catches glimpses of a tall faceless figure standing ahead of him, only for it to disappear when he looks again. A violent burst of static erupts from a nearby tower and then Slenderman appears between Containment and the Exit Gate. Several long black tentacles slowly unfurl from the faceless figure's back, twisting through the air like living shadows.Containment doesn't stop running. The tentacles suddenly lash forward. He throws himself sideways as one crashes into the ground beside him, sending dirt and sparks flying. Another swings across his path, barely missing his chest. Containment scrambles back to his feet and keeps moving. The Exit Gate is now closer. Another tentacle shoots from Slenderman's back and coils around Containment's shoulder. He is pulled off his feet and crashes into the ground. His Pages scatter from his hands. Containment: NO! The static screams inside his head. Slowly he looks up only to see that Slenderman is approaching. The tentacles writhe behind him like a nest of serpents. Containment quickly gathers his Pages and forces himself upright. Containment: If you wanted me dead, you should've gotten me earlier. The faceless figure tilts its head. Then every tentacle launches toward him at once. Black tendrils tear through the air behind him, snapping at his heels and ripping through the grass as he sprints toward the gate. He literally feels one of the tentacles touching his ankle, so he jumps forward and passes the threshold of the gate. Containment crashes onto the ground on the other side of the gate, breathing heavily as the ink on his Pages fade. Slowly, he looks back. Slenderman stands at the edge of the Static Field unable to follow him. After a long moment, the faceless figure turns away and disappears among the towers. Containment laughs weakly and lies back against the grass. Containment: I actually did it... A warm breeze passes through the open gate.
