DNTM Season 2 photo 7

Goomybear 15 hours ago58 views

For a week about power, I didn't see as many strong photos as I thought I would. Having done this photo I do know how tricky this was. It seems like a simple theme but it was harder to execute something that would be unique and exciting, yet still professional and boss. With that in mind, lets jump in. https://kovaze.com/group_thread/94 Maris: Love the face, but the pose isn’t flattering for your body and the lighting is not catching your face. It is giving boss, but I think could have been elevated with better lighting and a stronger pose. Jane: This is too commercial for this shoot. It’s cute, but not strong. I don’t like that you can see the top of the stocking, but your face does look gorgeous and the rest of the outfit is actually pretty good as well. Brat: You definitely have the face down. I think this is also a strong pose for a different theme because lying down on the job isn’t giving boss for me. Despite that, it is still the strongest photo for me so far. The bottom leg is a liiiiiitle wonky though… watch that. Medusaluh: Love the outfit but again I am not a fan of seeing the top of the stocking. You do have the best toe point I’ve seen though. Unfortunately, one of your feet are going through the conference table. This had a lot of potential with some great choices just a few small details missed on execution. Sprite: This is one of your safest photos so far, which I actually don’t mind from you this week because you have been much more out of the box most weeks. It’s good to show some versatility. It’s not the strongest shot of the group but nothing majorly wrong here. MissKant: I like the styling, the magazine cover background is a bit ehhh, I actually think without it this photo works better. I wouldn’t want to be the ceo photographed walking on the conference table while my employees look terrified lol. But as a model you look great and I think you did well to pose and style yourself like the boss. Kaliminaj: having seen your film I think you had some better shots in there, but I do enjoy this one. Its simple, professional, no nonsense. It’s giving 90s in the lighting, background, and power suit. Not a stand out photo, but still a solid entry for you. Antog: can we retire the cigarettes this season? Your top half looks good and I actually love the suit/shirt/heal combo you picked. Sunglasses indoors? Criss cross applesauce pose? We are too far into the competition for that. This could have been a great photo if you just had stood in front and removed the sunglasses. Akaliuchis: at first glance it looks like a cartoon, but as I looked at it a bit longer it’s actually quite striking and pretty high fashion. The knee turn in is very smart, your shape is good, the face is strong, and I like the styling. The background is a bit messy but I can forgive that since you still stand out a lot. Manyomash: I don’t love this angle. Its not that flattering, and is giving Discord Adams. The cropping doesn’t help you taking out the second foot. Your suit looks great and I like the movement in the photo, I just think it needed a different angle and you could have really stood out as the only girl to do a walking photo. My Rankings: Brat Akaliuchis Medusaluh KaliMinaj Sprite MissKant (higher if you took the magazine cover out) Maris Jane Manyomash Antog

It doesn't make sense, you should reread the instructions and rethink your criteria. I'm not saying this because of the position you put me in, I'm saying it because of what you put some girls in.

Antog i mean... there's people who didn't even had an office setting

manyomash The breif didn't say "must be in an office" it said "This week, models will step into a sleek, modern office setting where power, confidence, and authority take center stage." IF you focus on the word modern then maybe some other folks missed the mark, but I think its very modern to do throw back looks, so I wasn't mad at some of those. I liked your photo but the angle was not something you would see in an editorial spread.
