DNTM Season 2 Photo 2

Alright ladies, this was a really cool photoshoot and there really aren’t any bad photos. The difference between top photo and bottom photo really isn’t that much this week. The competition this season is going to be tough! https://www.kovaze.com/group_thread/73 Maris: It’s an interesting, yet maybe a slightly obvious choice here. With that said I do like the photo. The pose is good, you are pointing your toes even though you are in the sand, you are managing the garment well. My only real issue with it is my eye goes instantly to the wonky hand. Jane: interesting that you chose to hide the hair in the garment right away. I would have loved to see you confidently rock that look. I like how you managed to keep the heals on the sand without sinking in. The pose is cute, but you have lost your back leg in the garment and I would have liked to see it. I also think your face could have been a bit stronger im not seeing a ton of energy from it. Cristi: My fellow purple hair queen….. This dress is a bit of a risk because those tatas are the first thing my eyes see and I’m gay and obsessed with purple hair….. I like the bottom part of the dress and the way you work it, but for a high fashion shoot you gotta cover a bit more of the girls. Justini: the luckiest top model ever goes to…… you know you shouldn’t be here this week so you had to step your game up, and this is obviously better than last week, but it may not be enough to save you with your penalty. The photo is fine, I love the dress color and the way you are working it, but your legs are in front of each other to the camera so I can only see one and a half. If you had taken that front foot and put it a bit more to the left of the frame and given us a bit more in the face, this would have been a photo I would be confident you would stay this week. lluckygc: safe. The whole photo is just safe. I wish the gown wasn’t covering the back leg but it looks like this is a theme with all the girls. We have to remember we can’t let these big flowy gowns wear us as the models. I also miss your back arm. Where is it? Did Tyra finally go crazy and remove it as part of your make over? Brat: very high fashion in the gown, styling, lighting, and you look exceptionally tall which is great. The pose is a bit too posey for me, and your hand is getting lost in the gown and the one we can see look a bit limp. I think with a slightly different pose this is easily top photo because of the styling and the way you look. Medusaluh: I’m not sure if this was just messed up in the upload but your picture looks really grainy for some reason. I’m going to assume that wasn’t on your end. I love the contrast you created with the shade complimenting the shape of the dress. The dress is very high fashion, and you look like a black widow turned butterfly. The intensity of the face is great as well. I want to see the version that is not grainy. bubba: I’m not sure about the choice of color, or lack there of. The way you are working the dress is fantastic, but I would like to see the back leg. I’m not sure why all the gowns are hiding the back legs completely. The face could be stronger, your eyes are kind of lost and its lacking a smize. Sprite: I like the playfulness with the sand (my photo has this too!) The gown isn’t the most high fashion in the bunch, and the face is a little on the weaker side this week. I do think you showed us good versatility with a softer look, but I think there’s some work to be done there. You gave us a way better fierce look. misskant: My critique last week was you allowed yourself to get a bit too hoochie with the mouth open/head back. So, this week you gave us a shot of your V? Is it MissKant, or missc*nt? The angle of the photo is not doing you any favors, as much as I think the concept is cool, the execution needs work. Your hair looks great obviously, the gown itself is a good choice, but this pose isn’t it. You aren’t just having your other leg covered by the dress, in your photo it looks like it’s missing. GatoPisado: I think the pose is good, the dress itself isn’t bad, but the overall styling of this look is missing the mark for me. The black heal doesn’t belong, the gold dress with your new hair combined with that tone of background just clashes a bit too much for me. I think with a different shoe, or a different dress color, this would have been a better photo. KaliMinaj: Love the dress, love your length. This could have had a similar problem to Cristi but this is how you wear that kind of dress. I think you fell into the same trap as most of the other girls by hiding your back leg, but otherwise I like the rest of the photo. Antog: I don’t hate the pose, but combined with your facial expression it kinda looks like you just aren’t taking the photo seriously. I think if you had added a little bend to the arms, given us eye contact, and closed the mouth it would elevate from playful to powerful. The fabric looks like liquid which I think is kind of cool, but it isn’t consistent with the fabric of the gown part, and that distracts the eye. akaliuchis: the first girl to choose kneeling in this photo. I think you could have done so in a way that helped your photo stand out positively, but the execution of the pose didn’t do that. Top half I think you nailed it, but your hip being that far out and I can see a crease there, its too much, and then the other leg is getting burried, where is it? If your lower half matched the strength of the top half of this photo you would have nailed it. A fuller dress bottom might have actually also helped. Manyomash: Love the way you are commanding the gown with that pose. The angles you are creating are very strong and appealing to the eye. The only down side is you lose your face. You look like you are thinking too much. If you had given us eye contact here, I would be drawn to you as the model and not the gown, but this photo was so so close I am encouraged to see what you bring next week.
