I think it is a fun mode where you have to be social and think but I know some people aren't in the mood for that which is understandable. Plus you can pair the comp beasts and whack them out early on.

it's honestly a disincentive to pick it unless you are a gamebot who is S tier at challenges, then you have nothing to lose

That is kind of a bummer. This is why the person who selected the game should be secret. Or at least give them POV the first round.
