If this metaphor makes sense . (SA talk Trigger warning) Context - were debating evil and I said i dont think anyone's inherently evil it can depend on mental disorders, environment, upbringing ect. Someone asked what conditions would make someone r*pe someone . I named a few . And they asked me to explain people who have the disorders and dont r*pe others . I said its because disorders are a spectrum and arent black and white and used the following metaphor (its long winded i apologise) " I think a good methapor for it would be comparing it to animals, let's go with felines for this example, felines is the family name every animal within the feline family shares common traits i.e a tail, carnivores , retractable claws , whiskers ect. so that would be our condition name I.E schizophrenia . Then we get to breeds , i.e domestic house cats , maine coones, jaguars , leopards , wild cats, tigers ect ect , they're all felines with the same common traits but they all have unique traits too . So the breeds would be types of schizophrenia. paranoid, disorganized (hebephrenic), catatonic, undifferentiated, and residual . And some breeds are obviously more dangerous than others I.e a tiger is more dangerous than a house cat. The same as types of a condition can be more dangerous and likely to lead to violent crimes. For example paranoid schizophrenia is more likely to lead to a violent crime than residual schizophrenia" I just want to know if that actually makes sense or if my high ass just chatted a load of wham LMAO !
